Global Freight Link Faster than the problem

Home  /  Services

Every service on this page exists for one reason: the delivery window.

Global Freight Link handles shipments where arriving late is the same as not arriving. Aircraft on ground, production lines about to stop, clinical trial material, show freight against a load-in time. One desk, open around the clock, and a dispatcher who owns the move until it is signed for.

Aircraft on ground

AOG logistics

A grounded aircraft costs tens of thousands of dollars an hour and cascades through the schedule behind it. Our AOG desk is built around that single number.

Service

Dedicated expedited ground

A vehicle assigned to your shipment alone, driving direct from pickup to the hangar. No terminals, no cross-docks, no consolidation with other freight, no overnight parking.

  • Cargo van and sprinter to 3,000 lb for single rotables and line-replaceable units
  • Straight truck with liftgate to 12,000 lb for crated and palletised components
  • Team drivers coast to coast without the truck stopping for rest
  • Air-ride and flatbed for engines, stands and oversize structures
Service

Next flight out

When wheels beat road, we book the earliest viable lift with our airline and forwarder partners and run our own ground legs on both ends, so the part is not waiting on a local courier at either airport.

  • Earliest departure assessed against realistic door-to-door time, not just flight time
  • Tender, recovery and delivery handled as one move under one reference
  • Hand-carry and on-board courier arranged where the shipment cannot be tendered as cargo
Service

Airport recovery and delivery

We collect from the airline freight counter, handler or bonded facility and deliver straight to the hangar, MRO, FBO or line station, referencing your tail number and work order on the delivery paperwork.

  • Recovery from handler including after-hours and weekend collections
  • Inter-terminal and inter-airport transfers
  • Delivery to airside or landside as the receiving facility requires
Service

Charter and outsize

For engines, wing components, landing gear and complete AOG kits where scheduled lift cannot take the piece or the timing does not work.

  • Air charter quoted alongside the road and commercial options so you can see the trade
  • Engine stands and cradles moved on equipment sized to the piece
  • Permits, escorts and route survey arranged for oversize road movements

Cross-border expedite

On an urgent cross-border move, the delay is almost never the driving. It is the paperwork, and it is avoidable.

How it works

Cleared before the truck arrives

We prepare and transmit entries while the vehicle is still loading, working with your customs broker or ours, so the crossing is a formality rather than an event.

  • Customs bonded in both the United States and Canada
  • CTPAT participant with in-house customs coordination
  • PARS and PAPS filed ahead of arrival with the broker of your choice
  • In-bond movement to a bonded facility where clearance cannot happen at the border
  • Mexico corridor via Laredo with vetted partner carriers on the southern leg

Beyond aviation

Other time-critical work

The same desk and the same equipment handle any shipment where the window is the whole job.

Sector

Life sciences and clinical

Temperature-controlled equipment with continuous monitoring for pharmaceutical, clinical trial and diagnostic material, where the temperature record matters as much as the arrival time. Chain of custody documented end to end.

Sector

Manufacturing and line-down

Tooling, dies, fixtures and production parts moved against a line-stop clock. We quote the recovery plan, not just the transit, because a line-down move usually needs a decision before it needs a truck.

Sector

Live entertainment and production

Stage, audio, lighting and broadcast equipment moved to load-in windows, including 28-foot equipment and containers for venues a 53-footer cannot reach.

Sector

High value and secure

Sealed trailers, team drivers and no unattended stops for freight that cannot sit in a yard overnight. Technology, semiconductors, data centre hardware and precious cargo.

Questions we get

Straight answers

How fast can you have a vehicle at the pickup?

It depends on the origin. In and around the major freight markets we are typically at the dock within one to three hours of dispatch. Remote origins take longer and we will tell you the honest number on the call rather than the number you want to hear.

Do you quote air and road together?

Yes. On most AOG moves under roughly 900 miles, a dedicated vehicle beats the airport-to-airport option once you count tender cut-offs, recovery and the local delivery at the far end. We will price both and show you the door-to-door times side by side.

Can you handle dangerous goods?

Tell us what it is at the point of quoting. Batteries, oxygen generators, chemical oxygen and flammables all carry restrictions that change the routing, and it is far cheaper to plan for that at the start than to discover it at the counter.

Who will I be dealing with?

The dispatcher who takes your call. They own the shipment until it is signed for, and you get a direct number rather than a queue.

What do I get on delivery?

Signed proof of delivery, photographs and time stamps, sent the same day. Your invoice follows with that paperwork attached.

Do you work with freight forwarders and other brokers?

Yes, regularly. If you are covering a customer of your own we work to your instructions and keep our name off the delivery paperwork where you need us to.
